Florida Fishing Reports

November Fishing Action
Well all i can say is that the fishing has been great off of miami.I have herd numerous reports of sailfish, dolphin, and wahoo biting all over the reef from haulover inlet to Star Reef.Offshore fishing has been decent too,Chuck Boone landed his first blue marlin yesterday aboard his 31 centerconsole 18 miles off of Govt.Cut..The swordfishing has been insane the past few weeks.

Today i had the pleasure of fishing with a group from ohio for there first offshore trip ever in south florida. We ran down to Govt cut, caught plenty of bait and headed off to the monument bouy too see what the water looked like.We found some nice purple water out in 200.I sent out 3 kit baits, and 4 flatline, including a bottom and deep rod. After about 20 minutes we had our first strike on a flat lined pilchard. We missed that fish but just minutes later we had a double header sailfish on!John and Bobby were on the fish for about 25 minutes each and got there first release.Fishing continued to stay decent all day with 1 more sail showing,a few kings and some "mystery" fish.

Last week i had the pleasure of fishing aboard the New Lattitude with Cary Hanna. We picked up our customers and off we went.Caught plenty of bait on the ships and made our trek offshore. We set up just after dark.45 minutes later we had our first fish on,Jack did a great job of bringing in his first sword ever.At 7:30 we reset our baits and waited for another strike.20 minutes later the 300 ft rod goes off and i get tight on our second fish.45 minutes later jack gets his second fish to the boat,Cary leaders her and i stick her with the flyer. We haul her in and she is a stout 165lb fish..What a great start! Jack and his wife decided that 2 fish was planty for them, and they wanted to head in.We were back to the dock by 10pm.What a great night of fishing.

I have not herd any great reports yet,but the tarpon should be showing up soon.Last yr was a great yr.The tarpon fishing usually lasts until may-june here in south florida so u still have plenty of time too book some dates.Lets get out there and catch'em up!
I still have a few days left in nov and december. Lets get out there and catch a few!
